Worker killed in accident at Honeywell plant

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating a workplace fatality that occurred at a Honeywell Aerospace plant in Mississauga on the morning of Aug. 26. Public details about the incident have been limited, but the Peel Regional Police (PRP) tweeted that day that officers were on the scene to investigate an industrial accident. “Male pronounced [dead] at the scene, Ministry of Labour notified,” the PRP tweeted. Local media reports have stated that the victim was a subcontractor at the plant and that he had severe upper-body injuries at the time police discovered him. In addition, a co-worker reportedly witnessed the accident. Honeywell’s aerospace division provides products and services for virtually every aircraft in service today, according to information from the company website.
